Vacation With An Artist is a wonderful organization that offers workshops all over the world. You can book mini-apprenticeships with master artists around the world in person or on-line. There are 122 artists represented by only 27 artists. I am one of the artists and I will teach you silk painting while you stay in our home for 4 days. I live in Cornwall, New York in a 100 year old stone house on 4 acres.

You will learn how to stretch the silk, applying the resist and painting with silk paint. You'll leave with at least one finished project. If you'd like we can go to my framer and you can get it professional framed (not included).
We have 2 dogs and 5 chickens (fresh eggs!). There are also numerous stairs and we are not able to accomodate a wheel chair. Depending on the time of year we can go on a hike (to get ideas to sketch for a painting) or go into Beacon or Newburgh for ideas. If time allows, we can visit Storm King or Dia.
