Linnea Pergola is an experimented painter and textile artist born in Los Angeles whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Switzerland, Germany, Puerto Rico, and Qatar. Her love of nature is apparent in her diverse compositions, as she often portrays both animals and birds. As such, Pergola is an advocate for animal rights and the unjust treatment of animals. Her incredibly detailed pieces are created with pencils, charcoal, watercolors, and ink on paper or fabric.
Linnea and her partner, Michael, just volunteered at Thula Thula Private Game Preserve in KwaZulu-Natal,South Africa. May 2024 they moved to South Africa and are currently in Hermanus but are going to build a home in Plettenberg Bay. All her artwork will arrive in the fall and she can resume shipping. |
I see the vibrancy of the world around me and feel the need to sketch, paint, or draw it. "
I have been painting and drawing my whole life. It's been an interesting and challenging path. I began my art career with Martin Lawrence Galleries located (at the time in Van Nuys, Ca). I have since had numerous art publishers and have many serigraphs and giclees printed and distributed over the world. I currently work with Liberty Puzzles and they use some of my images for a very high end puzzle line.
I also work with Galerie-F in Germany . They print my images and design 3D prints that are fun and unique. (www.galerie-f.de)
