This was inspired by coyotes and how they live amongst us and we hardly notice them. They are true survivors. This is a part of LA under the Hollywood sign called Franklin Village. There are steps (like in the painting) that are pretty hidden from most people but go up the mountain quite a ways. And I saw a coyote there.
