The Spring Forward Online Exhibition hosted by the Rhode Island Watercolor Society as a way of getting through all the struggles of the past year focusing on the light at the end of the tunnel. Paintings in this show embodied the warmth and renewal of the season of spring, as well as the hope we see as we move forward towards a brighter future.

NFS NOT FOR SALE NFS This fun and colorful silk painting is of a woman flying in the sky. She is surrounded by birds which are a constant theme in my work now. She was inspired by a trip to Bhutan for the Festivals where the dancers wore brightly colored costumes that flowed when they danced. A fun silk painting of Maui, Hawaii. From the light house in Lahaina to the ley on the mountain overlooking Lahaina... I've been there at least 5 times and I just loved it. Maui is so inspiring and beautiful and I hope to see again sometime. I've been painting on silk for over 25 years. I first stretch the white silk on stretcher bars, and then sketch out my design with a disappearing ink pen. I then go over the lines with a resist that enables me to paint within the lines. The paint will flow everywhere if I don't use a resist. Also available as a puzzle with Liberty Puzzles. Framed Size: 47 1/2" x 36 1/4"
